The two first-Stand routes
The game Encyclopedia shown in Abitsane's footage at 0:10 lists two ways to awaken your first Stand. A real-fight knockout has a 1-in-10 chance, limited to one chance per minute. A Stand Arrow awakens a Stand when its compatibility reaches 100%.
| Route | Condition in the Encyclopedia | Outcome |
|---|---|---|
| Fight awakening | Another fighter knocks you out in a real fight | 1-in-10 chance; one chance per minute |
| Stand Arrow | Keep holding the Arrow until 100% compatibility | Awakening at full compatibility |
Start with the Encyclopedia → Stands entry in your current game. It is a useful reference when a guide or video describes a build from a different date.

Awakening through a fight
The recorded entry requires a knockout by another fighter in a real fight. It explicitly excludes resetting, falling and being tapped at one health. A qualifying defeat creates a chance to awaken; it does not promise a result on the next attempt.
- Read the awakening conditions in Encyclopedia → Stands.
- Take part in a real fight involving another fighter.
- If you are knocked out without awakening, respect the entry's one-minute limit before expecting another chance.
The 1-in-10 figure comes from the displayed game text. It is a per-opportunity chance, not a guarantee that the tenth defeat will succeed. Repeating a disallowed action, such as resetting, does not turn it into a qualifying fight.
If you are still learning combat, review the PC key bindings and use the combat practice guide before spending a session on repeated fights.
Awakening with a Stand Arrow
The Arrow route uses possession and compatibility. Hold the Arrow until compatibility reaches 100%, following the game's on-screen meter. Use that meter to judge completion instead of counting an assumed number of seconds.
- Look for the Arrow opportunity described in the current game.
- Obtain the Stand Arrow and watch its compatibility meter.
- Maintain possession while the meter fills.
- Reach 100% compatibility for the awakening described in the Encyclopedia.
Abitsane's short tutorial describes an Arrow event and a purple outline. Keep your attention on the event and its prompts rather than a fixed map circuit. Other players can compete for the Arrow.
What Stand will you receive?
The Encyclopedia describes a random result by rarity. It does not offer a selection of one exact Stand in the acquisition entry. Browse the Stand directory after awakening to understand your kit's role.
The same entry lists a 100-Reroll replacement cost and says the next result cannot be the Stand you already have. That rule guarantees a different result, while the rarity and suitability remain a separate question. Use the reroll guide before confirming a replacement.

Common awakening questions
Do I need a code to get my first Stand?
Neither Encyclopedia route lists a code requirement. Codes provide resources described in published code guides; fight awakening and Arrow compatibility are their own systems.
Does resetting my character count?
No. The filmed entry explicitly excludes resetting from the real-fight knockout method.
Can I reroll into the same Stand?
The recorded Encyclopedia says your existing Stand is excluded when you buy a new result. Check the live menu before making a replacement purchase.
