Build around a small set of inputs
The filmed PC HUD shows light attack, block and dash, then barrage and the signature skill for an active Stand. Those inputs give you a manageable starting point for learning a kit. Keep the controls reference nearby while you practice.
Start with one question at a time: can you reach the opponent, can you defend their next action, and can you return to a position where you can react? This practice routine helps you observe the game's feedback without relying on a memorized long combo.

A repeatable practice routine
- Move first. Walk and dash around the area until the camera and movement feel predictable.
- Try your light attack. Observe which distance makes a hit connect.
- Add a block. Watch how the displayed defense reacts to a committed attack.
- Test one Stand action. Use a barrage or skill on its own so you can see its effect.
- Withdraw and reassess. Check your resources and the next available action before another exchange.
These are editorial learning steps. They do not promise a true combo, a damage total or a win. Short practice sessions make it easier to distinguish a missed input from a move whose effect you have misunderstood.
Practice for your Stand's role
| Role | Practice question |
|---|---|
| Time control | What position do you want when the skill ends? |
| Evasion | Where will you be able to act after escaping? |
| Pressure | Can you stay close enough to use your next action? |
| Sustain | Are you using the recovery when you need it? |
| Counter | Can you recognize when the opponent commits? |
| Support | Who in the group is meant to receive your help? |
Browse the Stand directory for examples of those roles. Rarity is useful for identifying a result, while the actual kit determines what you practice.
Choose a club for an ordinary exchange
Movement, health and Stand-uptime perks can support different routines. Use the club picker to compare the reported 5% perks. Choose the one that helps an action you regularly perform rather than expecting membership to replace practice.
If you are carrying a Stand Arrow, keep its rules in mind. Recent guides describe hiding skills that drop it, so an escape can change your acquisition plan. The Arrow guide explains the possession objective.
Watch a kit before spending
A showcase is useful for seeing a skill's presentation and sequence. Compare it with the current in-game prompt before making a replacement purchase.
